DUNNS RIVER FALLS

Climb upon the cascading falls of Dunns River. Located near Mystic Mountain, the falls are known for being the scene of the legendary historic battle of the “Las Chorreras”. A battle fought in the year 1657 between the Spanish and the English for ownership of the land. The Spanish were defeated.

The falls are about 180 feet (55 m) high and 600 feet (180 m) long and tourists are encouraged to take the climb to the very top, but don't fret, tour guides will assist in your escapade. If your'e unable to climb the rocks or fear getting wet, a set of stairs sit near the falls. The falls empty into the Caribbean Sea at the western end of an attractive white-sand beach.

The climb takes about 1-1.5 hours to climb with short breaks for photographs & video recordings taken by the guides.
